Adventure session//4th of July//mommy daughter

In my opinion, even though the 4th is over - it’s still okay to talk about it until, well, the end of the summer. So here’s Jo’s 4th of July session I did for her & her little miss. H+J are such a cute little mommy daughter duo and I had so much fun shooting their little camp out session. These two have a blast together and it is so much fun getting to watch Hadley grow.

After we wrapped up the little miss, Jo grabbed her Grandpa skips 4th T shirt and did a little bit of a sentimental session in it. Skip passed away last year, and no one would have thought that would have been the last 4th we got to spend with him, but it was. Though he was missed immensely at this years gathering, the legacy he left behind in all his grandkids and family members was evident. Just the place he created for us all to enjoy and be together is truly something that will never be taken for granted. Jo loved her grandpa and doing something as simple as wearing his T shirt and sitting on his bike was enough to get us both a bit emotional.

Jo and my husband were super close growing up (cousin best friends) and it is so fun to get to see both her daughter Hadley + our oldest Ceci get to make those awesome memories together during the summers now. The fourth of July has always been a big deal for this part of the family - so much so that they take a whole week to celebrate, camp out, sit by the fire, ride quads, the whole nine. It’s a huge deal every year and this year was no different. As far as Adventure sessions go, i’m not sure you could get more adventurous then that.
